Publish Clips and configure Following
Upload shoppable media, tag products, publish clips and set up Feed segments and Following.
Clips owns your media posts. App builder > Feed controls their browsing experience. Feed is a shared feature across characters, not another app style.
Create a shoppable post
- Open Clips and choose Create clip. Upload a video or photos, or use Import from sections to prepare drafts from supported existing video sections.
- Wait for media processing to finish. A draft or processing entry is not a playable published clip. Inspect failed media in Clips and replace or re-upload it if necessary.
- Open the clip and check its Frame, preview image and Caption. Add Hashtags and the creator's handle in Credit, without the @ prefix.
- Add products. For video, set when each product appears so the shopping chip follows the content. Choose products actually available to the app.
- For video, upload WebVTT captions under Captions, with the correct Language. Play the clip muted to check them.
- In Publishing, select the intended status and timing. Use Published now only when ready for shoppers. A drop premiere also depends on the linked drop's release state.
Media is uploaded to Shopify Files. Only upload content you have permission to publish; Shopify's file guidance explains public file access and supported uploads.
Make Feed reachable
Add the For you destination in Navigation. In Feed settings, enable Show segments, choose the available segments and set Opens on to one of them. For you remains the base feed. Configure product stickers or chips, captions, automatic playback and initial sound state.
Following needs authors or brands the shopper follows and eligible published posts. Enable Let shoppers follow brands and vendors if wanted; creator-follow behaviour is separate. Test with real credited content, then follow and unfollow it. A fresh shopper's empty Following state is expected.
Disabled Like, Save, counts, offer and brand-bio controls are not active features. Share depends on configured app links. Do not promise these actions from a static preview.
Check on a phone
Open the feed, play and pause, mute, open a tagged product and return. Check Following after following a creator, and check a scheduled post before and after release. Use the homepage section guide to place Watch and Shop content without adding a dedicated Feed tab.
