Plan and publish a product drop

Configure release timing, products and drop content while separating visibility, reminders and checkout enforcement.

Open Marketing > Drops. If Vunda reports that Drops is not available yet, you can prepare the allowed configuration, but do not announce a live release until your store's readiness is resolved. Raffle checkout is excluded from the initial offering.

Prepare the release

  1. Choose Create drop. Set Title, its Link slug and an available Type.
  2. Select the real Shopify Products. Verify their variants, prices, images and inventory in Shopify Products.
  3. Configure Before the release carefully. Hiding products until release affects publication; a visual countdown alone does not prevent an already available product being bought elsewhere.
  4. Set Release date and Release time using the timezone shown by the editor. Add an end time only if the drop should end automatically.
  5. Configure Markets and the Card image, image description, label and copy. Market selection does not override Shopify's selling or inventory rules.
  6. Keep the drop in draft while checking it, then select the intended scheduled state and save. Review any release error or delayed-release message rather than assuming the clock proves success.

Place the drop in your app

Add Drop Hero for a featured release or Upcoming Drops for a rail. Link to the available Drops destination through Navigation where appropriate. Select the intended drop or source in the section editor, then check the actual pre-release and released content.

Use the offered urgency and limit settings only when their readiness checks pass. Checkout limits require their own enforcement; copy, badges and countdowns cannot provide that enforcement by themselves.

Test before announcing

Check product reachability before release, timezone and country, the release outcome, product choices and actual checkout. Test the no-stock and ended states too. Local reminder requests need consent and phone notification permission; they do not guarantee delivery, reserve stock or create a raffle entry.

Live Activities, Live Updates, account-synced reminders and raffle checkout are not included. Keep those promises out of launch copy even if an older design or example mentions them.
