Create stories and a shoppable Journal

Build Story Bar slides and connect published Shopify blog articles to a Journal with products.

Story Bar and Journal serve different content. Story Bar uses configured covers and short slides. Journal reads published articles from a selected Shopify blog. Clips has its own media publishing workflow.

Build a Story Bar

Add Story Bar to a supported page. Add each story's cover Image and optional label, then select its destination. Choose Story rings or Plain circles in Appearance.

To open a full-screen story, add image or video slides in its slide editor. Configure the offered text, duration, products and call to action. Keep important text and subjects away from cropped edges. Without slides, the tile uses its configured link; older app versions may also use that fallback link, so give it a useful destination.

Save and test the cover, slide progression, product links and close gesture on a phone. A cover image alone does not create slides or a shoppable post.

Connect Journal

  1. Prepare and publish the intended articles in Shopify, including their titles, images and body content. Check Shopify blog publication and visibility if a story is scheduled or hidden.
  2. Open Components > Journal and choose the Blog. Journal screens appear only when that blog has a published story; selecting an empty blog is not enough.
  3. Choose Journal index, First letter and Show reading time as wanted.
  4. Select a Story to configure its products, Credits and In this story card position. Check the product links already in its body as well as explicitly chosen products.
  5. Save and add a supported Journal destination where shoppers can reach it, such as Navigation or an appropriate section link.

Check the reading and shopping journey

Open Journal, read an article, choose a product and return to the article. Check a story with no attached products too. Confirm that images and text are your published content, not preview examples. If an article is missing, inspect the selected blog, its publication state and the app's configuration refresh before recreating it.
