Brand your app with colours, logo and fonts
Set your app's colours, header logo and fonts in the Branding editor so the app matches your brand. Saved changes apply to your live app within minutes, with no rebuild.
Branding is where you set your app's colours, header logo and fonts so the app looks like your brand and not a template. You edit everything in one place, see it on the live phone preview as you go, and save when it looks right. There is no separate design file and no code.
The Branding editor says it plainly:
Applies to your live app within minutes - no rebuild needed.Saving updates the app your shoppers already have on their phones, so you do not republish to change a colour, swap a logo, or pick a new font.
Open the Branding editor
In your Shopify admin, open Vunda and go to the Branding tab in the builder. The screen is a split view: the theme editor on the left, a live phone preview of your real homepage on the right. Every change you make on the left shows on the right before you save, so you can judge it in context.
When you are done, the contextual save bar appears at the top. Choose Save to apply, or Discard to drop your edits.
Set your colours
The colour section gives you six roles, each with a colour picker. Set the two that do the most work first:
Primary coloris your main brand colour. It is used for primary buttons and key accents across the app.On-primary color (text/icons on primary)is the colour of the text and icons that sit on top of the primary colour, so keep it readable against it (for example white text on a dark primary).
The remaining four roles are the accent colour for links and highlights, the background colour for the app surface, the main text colour, and the secondary text colour for muted text. Pick each one and watch the preview update.
Add your logo
Under Header logo, upload the logo that shows in your app's header. A wide or square PNG works best, up to 2MB. Once a logo is set you can replace or remove it at any time, and the change shows in the preview straight away.
Choose your fonts
You set two fonts independently: Heading font for titles and section headings, and Body font for everything else. For each one you can choose:
- A system default, which uses the device's own font (San Francisco on iOS, Roboto on Android). Nothing extra loads, so it is the fastest option.
- A bundled font, a curated set that ships inside the app and renders instantly, even offline.
- Any family from the Google Fonts catalogue, which you search by name. Pick a family and it loads into your app. Browse the full catalogue first if you want to settle on a pairing. (Source: Google Fonts.)
Like colours and the logo, font changes apply to your live app within minutes, so you can try a pairing, save, and see it on a real device.
Sync from store (optional)
If you already set your brand on Shopify, you do not have to re-enter it. Use Sync from store to pull your brand colours, logo and theme font from Shopify into the editor. It fills the fields with a suggestion; nothing is saved until you review it and choose Save, so you can adjust anything first.
This pulls from settings that live in your Shopify admin, not in Vunda, so the exact screens are owned by Shopify and may change. Verify against their current guides before you rely on them. Your logo and brand colours come from your store's brand assets under Settings then General then Brand assets (Source: Shopify - managing your brand assets), and the suggested font comes from your online store theme's typography settings (Source: Shopify - customizing theme settings).
After you save
Your colours, logo and fonts are live. Because branding applies without a rebuild, you can iterate freely: change something, save, and the app updates within minutes for shoppers who already have it. Publishing a new build is only needed for the things that are baked in at build time, such as the app icon, name and splash screen, which live on the Publish page, not here.
